Setting Goals for the New Year 2008

2008Now that we have begun a brand new year, I am excited to start fresh with a new set of goals & renewed motivation.

I got an awesome tool through one of my weekly newsletters, that has really helped me feel more focused in setting goals for 2008.  It guides you though looking back over the year 2007, to remember your accomplishments, interests, and areas of personal growth. Then after reflecting on the previous year, it really puts you in a good frame of mind to plan for the new year. When you can really analyze the past, you are more likely to set realistic goals for the future. It makes so much sense, I had just never thought of it that way before!

So if you haven’t already, sit down with a pen & paper to make a list of things you’d like to accomplish this year or areas you’d like to improve in.

  • Include short-term as well as long term goals, for personal, family, business, or other important aspects of your life.
  • Don’t make your expectations TOO high, or you may end up feeling overwhelmed or discouraged.
  • Then make sure you hang on to that list for easy reference throughout the upcoming months, so you don’t forget or get off track.
  • This is super important. If you don’t write your goals down on paper, it’s like they don’t exist… kinda like ‘New Years Resolutions’!  ;0)

This is gonna be an awesome year, so let’s get going!

To your success in business & in life…

You are so right! If I didn’t write down my goals, I would not know how to achieve them! Thanks for the great tips!
