Boutique Bargains & Beyond {Blog} Auctions to Benefit Susana Whittaker

Posted on May 23rd, 2010 by Jenn

I wanted to take a moment out of my day to spread the word about this precious 4 year old fighting cancer.  So much to go through at such a young age.  Baby Gassy Gooma has teamed up to support Susana and donate 100% of their profits to Susana’s medical costs.  Here is the email I received this morning..

Good Morning,

Just wanted to quickly share that our Auctions for Susana were launched last evening, if anyone would like to participate.  We have lots of fun things to bid on and all for a good cause…100% profits going to support Susana Whittaker’s medical costs.

Also, we will be adding a special Mystery Item for you to bid on!  What would YOU like it to be?  Just post the NAME and SIZE of any one of our new designs onto our Facebook wall  and the most requests we receive for any particular item will be listed for you to bid on, too.

Please check out all of our listings to benefit Susana……..we currently have 124 items up for bid!

Thank you for caring, thank you for praying, thank you for giving.  Something beautiful happens when a bunch of people band together to donate their time, donate some merchandise, and when bidders come, all to bless someone else.  It is such a joy to be able to bless this family.  Susana’s parents are Maria and Cody Whittaker, missionaries to Haiti, and more can be read about Susana’s story at

Thanks for showing love to Susana.

Boutique Bargains & Beyond {Blog} How Have Your eBay Sales Been Since March 30th?

Posted on May 11th, 2010 by Jenn

How have your eBay sales been since the new changes?  I’ve gotten this question a few times since the change.  Some of you have mentioned the eBay discussion boards comments.  Honestly, I don’t visit the eBay boards much anymore.  I find that sometimes there is a lot of negativity and I don’t like to surround myself with that.

To answer the question…sales are good!  I’ve been able to maintain my Power-Seller and Top Rated Seller Status.  I stick with what works – period.  I find that I have to continually list to keep selling.  If I stop listing, I don’t sell hardly at all.  I just try to replace what I sell.  So if I have 2 sales, I list 2 items.  If I get to list more, it’s definitely a plus!  Being a busy mom, I definitely have roadblocks when it comes to getting a lot done during the day.  I’m sure you can relate.  Don’t get discouraged – it’s a good thing when you’re always busy with eBay, right?

Happy Selling!  :-)

Boutique Bargains & Beyond {Blog} Only A Few More Days To get All of Your 2010 eBay Data Organized

Posted on March 27th, 2010 by Jenn

Have you checked out Easy Auctions Tracker yet?  There is a free trial available, but I’d recommend purchasing the full version because in just a few short days you won’t be able to collect all of your data starting from January 1, 2010.  eBay stores your transaction information on its servers for 3 months/90 days so you can still retrieve January’s transactions until the end of March.

Worried about needing an updated spreadsheet when eBay has fee changes….DON’T BE!!  A BIG part of why I love this spreadsheet so much is because it pulls the data right from eBay!  Everything is integrated, nothing needs to be changed when eBay fees change!  It’s a fully automated spreadsheet and has been tested and certified by eBay as a compatible application.

As an incentive to check it out, use code BB10 (case sensitive) for a 10% discount. This code needs to be entered on the Easy Auctions Tracker site before going to Paypal (this isn’t a Paypal coupon code).

Get organized now, you’ll be glad you did come the end of the year! ;-)

Boutique Bargains & Beyond {Blog} Now Is Your Chance To Start An eBay Blog! Ends 3/19

Posted on March 16th, 2010 by Jenn

I hear a lot of you say how you would like to have a blog to promote your eBay items.  But still, there are only a select few that take action.  Believe me, I’m NOT a technical kind of gal.  It takes a while for things to sink in wne you’re explaining computer lingo to me.

I DO however, have a blog to promote my eBay items despite my technical challenge!  It CAN be done, period.  Wordpress has been by far the easiest for me to learn and expand my eBay sales.

My good friend Kelly McCausey has a real nice -Blog Week- package!  It ends on Friday (3/19/10).  I strongly suggest you get a move on! It won’t be around again for a while.  Check out Blog Week!

And GUESS WHAT?? You’re getting lifetime access to their Wordpress Orientation sessions. That means you can pop into any of the live sessions to ask questions about your Wordpress blog. You’ll never be left high and dry and always have the help you need. THAT, my friends, is an awesome perk!!   :-)

There is SO  much included with this Blog Week Package.  Now is your chance to get started with the eBay Blog you’ve always wanted!

Boutique Bargains & Beyond {Blog} Busy, Busy, Busy with eBay!

Posted on March 13th, 2010 by Jenn

Wow, it’s been a while since I’ve been here – I’m sorry for being absent.  Hopefully, you’ve been as busy as I have with eBay sales!  I did a major inventory overhaul and I’m just now starting to see the end of the listing train.

I printed out everything I have listed in my eBay store.  Took a few of those huge Rubbermaid bins, started at the top of my inventory list and worked my way to the bottom.  Everything on the list went in a bin and was crossed off.  Whatever was left, went to auction or the consignment shop.  If it wasn’t in season and I felt I could make some money off of it, I listed it in my store.  Or, hey, if it was my kids size – it went in their closet!  There were even one or two items I donated.

Now that taking inventory is behind me, I feel refreshed and ready to clean up what new inventory I have anxiously waiting a photograph or two, and list it in my eBay store.

It’s important to take inventory at least every year.  Clean out anything that hasn’t sold out of your store in the last 18 months at least!  If you’re comfortable with running .99 auctions, then go for it and get the stuff out of your way.  You may even be surprised that you’ll make more than you anticipated.  ;-)

Well, I’m off to do another photo session!  I have some fabulous gymboree to get in my eBay store!

Happy Selling!  :-)
