EBay’s new Paperless Payments policy will roll-out this week!

YIKES, are you even ready?

That came quick, didn’t it?  Sellers will no longer be able to list an item without one of the approved electronic payment methods: PayPal, credit or debit card payment to a seller’s merchant account, or ProPay.  Last month, we did a brief Blog post that contained some FAQ’s, you can reference that post HERE.

The main thing to do is to remove references to checks and money orders from your item descriptions. EBay knows that this is a busy time of year for sellers so they are going to wait until January 15, 2009, before they begin insisting on the removal of prohibited payment methods from item descriptions.

It really did come quick. And thanks for posting those ProPay FAQ’s earlier. It will be interesting to see how everyone adapts to the 100% electronic payments. We’re hoping that ProPay will help serious eBay sellers to adapt to the change.
