5 Star Service Really Pays Off!

Wow!  Where has the last couple weeks gone?!  I’ve been so focused on listing my eBay items, I have fallen a bit behind on keeping up with my blogs.  Now that I’m seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, I can get back to keeping in touch with you!  :-)

I’m so excited about a note I just received from a buyer of one of my items.  It really proves that consistency pays off.  I like to ship my items same day, if not the very next business day.  Here is what one of my buyers had to say.

My very tall 5 yr old granddaughter is counting the minutes until she gets her ‘kitty clothes’ even though I told her they will take a couple of weeks to arrive. Abby was thrilled when I sent her a link to the auction so she could see the dress and especially the kitty tights.

Toy Season Is Upon Us! Are You Ready? Limited Space!

Tough Question Tuesday – Why Sell Small Sizes on eBay?

Q:  Sometimes, I am unable to get to my email to see the daily alerts you send out.  When I do get to check it out, the smaller sizes are the only sizes left.  I keep hearing that small sizes don’t sell well, is this true?

A:  I don’t believe so.  There are plenty of people who specialize in just small sizes and do just fine.  Take Zutano, for example – they specialize in small sizes.  Absolute gorgeous merchandise, and the quality is amazing.  In watching the trends on eBay, Zutano sells well in complete sets or mixed in with lots of other name brands.

Don’t sell yourself short because some one else doesn’t have good luck in a particular area.  Try it yourself, research and give your store some diversity to attrack more buyers.

I’m Loving Stamps.com!

I couldn’t be happier with Stamps.com right now.  :-)  

It’s getting cold, who wants juggle a bunch of packages on one hip, a baby on the other hip, while holding some part of a 6 year old so she doesn’t wander too far out of sight?  NOT ME!  First, I am NOT a cold weather person – I dread cold mornings. 

As I get more experienced with my business each and every year – I find that convenience is worth it to me – even if I have to pay the tiny bit extra.  ;-)   Why?  Because the more my business runs smooth, the more productive I can be, the more money I can make.

I tried the f*r*e*e eBay trial version of stamps.com a couple weeks ago – and admittedly – I didn’t like it because I couldn’t use the eBay trial and ship international packages.  I had no reservations switching to the pro version. It meant I could ship international packages right from my door step, email my customers with a tracking number and be done within minutes.  How’s that for customer service!?

Don’t forget, the holiday season is quickly approaching.  If you sell a lot of toys on eBay – now is the time to be prepared so you don’t fall behind and be the one waiting in those long lines at the post office!

What To Sell On eBay In October

Happy October!!  It’s just flying by, isn’t it?  What are your kids being for Halloween this year?  My 6 year old will be Princess Leia, and my 6 month old is going to be an Angel.  It should be cute!

How are your sales for the first few weeks of Fall?  Halloween costumes are definitely on the rise!

School is in full swing, back to school shopping is done and Halloween sales will be coming to an end as late as the third week in October.  Get any last minute costumes out the door and start looking for costumes to be marked down in retail locations.  Used costumes hold their value and can also be sold in lots for dress-up fun!

I took a lap around our local mall today, and noticed a lot of summer markdowns are still in the works – definitely worth checking out.  There are also a lot of Christmas items being shipped in.  This is a great indication that you should also be getting your holiday items ready.  Toys will be hot as soon as November, if not already!
