Q:  I have so many clothing items to list, I don’t know if it’s worth my time to put the measurements.  Do you think it’s important?

A:  Oh, the dreaded measurement question!  LOL!!   I know it’s only an extra step – BUT – it’s so important!  If you take the time to list your items, at least take the time to include the measurements so your listing is not just like every other item out there.  People are busy, and if you don’t have what they’re looking for – they will click away.  Also, when you include the measurements in your listing, it eliminates time you’ll have to spend later digging your item out when a buyer asks!  Here is a small list you can include in your description, feel free to use it:

Brand:
Size:
Color:
Condition:
Bust: (womens clothing)
Chest: (mens clothing)
Shoulder:
Waist:
Hips:
Sleeve Length: (important on petite items)
Length: (important for jackets, skirts & dresses)
Inseam: (important for pants)

I hope you enjoyed your holiday weekend!  I now have a first grader in school and have some much needed extra time to work on my eBay listings! It will be just me and my 5 month old.

I have a little extra inventory these days. Two growing girls in the house, means four times the amount of clothing to sift through each season!

Q:  My kids are back in school, and I have a lot of catching up to do on eBay.  Suddenly, I feel overwhelmed!  How do you get motivated to get started on eBay again???

A:  I can relate!!  Admitedly, I have gotten behind on listing inventory.  I slowed down considerably after the baby was born in March of this year.  I didn’t totally stop though.  It is much harder to start once you’ve stopped cold turkey, so I kept a comfortable pace. 

One thing you can do is no to overwhelm yourself!  Start slow.  I posted over at Sparkplugging yesterday.  It’s a small list of items to accomplish in one day.  If I didn’t get them accomplished yesterday, I would hold myself accountable with consequences.  I would sell an item out of my eBay store and donate 100% of the final sale price to a certified nonprofit via eBay Giving Works.
